Bitcoin security starts with the seed

The ColdCard RNG compromise has created panic and a lot of misinformation. It is important to go back to the foundational security aspect of holding Bitcoin. The seed or "keys". This is a secret that enables the holder to sign, that is spend, Bitcoin. This secret can also be used to create bitcoin addresses that can be shared publicly to receive Bitcoin. The secret seed or "keys" are only used when spending Bitcoin. The seed must be guarded and secured very carefully.

It is advised to create your seed completely offline trusting no RNG whatsoever. This infographic walks through the steps. With this nuance in place, then you can truly say, "not your keys, not your coin".
